Content Strategy for High Ticket Clients

One thing I've learned about content marketing in my 2 years of consistently creating content is the fact that there's a difference between creating content for low ticket products vs creating content for high ticket products.

And as a freelancer who wants to attract more high ticket leads, you need to know the difference.

So I'm diving into that in this blog

One thing you need to understand about content is that the quality of your marketing and the quality of your content determines the quality of clients you attract. So if you want to attract high paying clients as a freelancer, you need to elevate your marketing to effectively communicate your value, so you can attract premium clients.

When I elevated my marketing, I not only started attracting clients who are willing to pay high ticket, but I also repelled clients who basically only wanted free information.

#1: Go deep rather than wide

In order to stand out and not sound like every other person in your niche, or every other article online, create content that goes deep rather than wide. There are certain things your ideal client can Google to find answers to. You do not want to focus solely on that when creating content. What you want to do is go into specific issues and specifics details of what your ideal client is struggling with and address that.

Most of the time, your ideal client is some version of you. So what you want to do is use personal stories and experiences to connect and relate with your ideal client. Also, use experiences of your past clients to create more relatable content that they can connects with.

So rather than only giving out tips and "how to's", address mistakes that your ideal clients are facing, why they might be facing these issues, how it's affecting them and preventing them from reaching their specific outcome, and how to move past these roadblocks to reach that desired outcome.

#2: Work with Specifics

If you want to attract more high ticket clients as a freelancer, you need to niche down. And I'm not just talking about niching down demographically, l(ike entrepreneurs, or women of color, or moms), but go into specifics .

For example, as a bookkeeper, instead of saying I help female entrepreneurs with their bookkeeping needs, go deeper by saying - I help female entrepreneurs who hate numbers. This targets specific people who hate numbers, and those people will work with you rather than any other book keeper even if you're offering similar services, simply because you're addressing them specifically and they can emotionally relate with that.

You can even go deeper by niching down your transformation. As a social media manager, rather than saying - I help entrepreneurs manage their social media so they can focus on what they do best, be more specific by saying - I help entrepreneurs create content that increases social media engagement and 10x their website visits. People who are looking to increase their social media engagement specifically and drive traffic to their website will choose you and willingly pay premium for your services because you're speaking to their specific needs.

And also, when sharing a testimonials in your copy, use specific figures rather than being vague

For example, rather than saying - I have increased my LinkedIn profile views, replace that with - my profile views have gone from 50 views a month to over 300 views a month simply because I made these changes. See the difference?

#3: Attract by repelling

When putting out content or writing copy, you need to think about the people you do not want to work with, and make sure that your content clearly repels these people. Address your ideal clients specifically by calling them out. What you want is for people who are not your Ideal client to read your content and immediately realize it's not for them. Whereas, you want your ideal clients to read your headline and your titles and immediately identify and connect with your content.

So as much as you want to attract your ideal clients, you equally want to repel non ideal clients with your content.

So these are my 3 secrets to creating content that generates high ticket leads as a freelancer.
