One common theme with people I talk to as well as my clients when they start working with me is their struggle with consistency when it comes to their content as well as their ability showing up.
I'm sure a lot of you reading this can relate with that. So in this week's newsletter, I'll share with 3 things that help me stay consistent, and I know this will help you too.
1). Love what you do and love talking about what you do.
If you do not love talking about your zone of genius,
You'll find it hard to be consistent.
That's why you do not choose to start a business around everything you're good at,
Simply because there're some things you're good at that you don't love talking about everyday, all day.
But when you start a business around something that you love doing as well as love talking about,
Guess what?
- You'll always show up to talk about it and teach others about it,
- You'll continue to acquire knowledge about it, and
- You'll remain patient even when you're not YET seeing the results you want.
2.) Re-purpose your Content
One thing that has saved me so much time and effort in my content creation and marketing journey is the ability to Re-purpose Content.
This has been a game changer for me.
If you write a piece of content (including a comment) that gets amazing reviews, you need to capitalize on that.
Turn your comment into a caption, a document, a video, a more a detailed LinkedIn Newsletter or an email (and so on).
The misconception most people have is that, your followers catch on,
but they don't.
Moreover, you always have new followers and connections who'll find that content piece valuable,
All you need to do is add or subtract to it where necessarily.
FUN FACT
There're some months where all I do is share ONLY re-purposed content, for a whole month, and it still does well.
At this point, I have put out so much content to the point where, when I don't feel very inspired,
All I have to do is look back at my best content pieces and re-purpose them.
How cool is that?
3.) Remember your Why
Why are you showing up everyday, or every other day?
What is the impact your want to create?
Once you loose track of your why, you loose your motivation.
I always ask people this.....
"God forbid you're not here tomorrow, what do you want people to remember about you and how you impacted them?"
That should be your drive, and that's what will keep you consistent.
"When in doubt, always go back to your Why"
